AGRITECH (SARAWAK) SDN BHD was appointed on 29.05.2009 by the Ministry of Modernization of Agriculture, as the project proponent working in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture Sarawak for the purpose of developing and producing local high-yield hybrid seeds for the State’s paddy industry.

VISION
We aspire to be the industry shaper in hybrid-rice production towards achieving food security.

MISSION
To provide excellent and comprehensive research in quality high-yielding hybrid-rice production through innovative technologies, techniques and practices to meet the needs and expectations of our society.

OBJECTIVES
> To develop high yield hybrid seeds for rice production on a grand commercial scale in a sustainable manner through good farming practice and integrated approach.
> To empower and enrich a new crop of agropreneurs and stakeholders to shape and share in the country’s agriculture-related resources.
> The setting up of a Hybrid Rice and Seed Production Research Centre in collaboration with foreign and local scientists and experts for the evaluation of hybrid-seeds and the development of Sarawak’s own resilient, high yielding hybrid rice.
