Orchid Life Sdn Bhd (OLSB) is a BioNexus Status company that is committed to produce high quality horticulture products and services internationally. Our core strength is in the innovative research and development  of plant genomics, micropropagation and breeding through the adoption of biotechnology and high-tech molecular processes.

As a spin-off company of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) formed in 2007. combined with more than 20 years of experience in Research and Development, the company has achieved rapid protocols in plant micropropagation system, producing disease free and stress tolerant plantlets with superior standard and uniformity.

Through innovation and production techniques, we have developed a bio-marker which is useful for early and large scale screening of protocorm-like bodies (PLBs) and to predict plants producing desirable characteristics.

We have further strengthen our technology capabilities in expression profiling and functional genomics through our subsidiary company Genetwister Life (M) Sdn Bhd a joint venture with Genetwister Group International B.V. We have an expertise in identification and isolation of genes involved in various physiological and developmental processes. We are using these genes as bio-markers for the creation of diagnostic tests and as traits for marker assisted breeding as well as molecular breeding.
