Kim Bali’s history began in September 1991 as A-ssam House. The main outlet is in Osborne Road (now Jalan Dato Tahwil Azhar), Ipoh.

In 2006, in conjunction with our 16th anniversary, we rebranded ourselves as Kim Bali and set up a branch in First Garden, Ipoh. The new Kim Bali restaurants allowed our clients to experience a greater variety of gourmet Asian food.

Over the years, Kim Bali become a popular dining place for the locals and tourists form other countries such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and United States.

Our clientele needs little introduction. Hong Kong’s most celebrated movie star Chow Yun Fatt came to savor our house cuisines. Ipoh-born actress Datuk Michelle Yeoh, Malaysian artists Ah Niu and Nian Shao Zhi Dao, Taiwanese writer Guo Teng Yi have graced our premises. VIPs and Ipoh’s socialites are regular clients who dined at Kim Bali

It is the authentic East Asian concept restaurant chain that serves the finest culinary delights from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam & Korea! It also offers the original fusion food: Nyonya, and many of today’s dining specialties.

Since 1991, our efforts and diligence have brought significant changes from the day we first opened for business in Ipoh. These changes could not have been achieved without our customers’ loyal support. To this end, Kim Bali continually embarks on culinary journeys in search of fresher East Asian flavors.

Kim Bali also offers buffet services to serve a wider client base. These includes serving corporate functions, weddings and other memorable occasions. In order to meet international demand, we also pack our signature products for the home market as well as for export to other countries.
