PAYSYS business involves the eco-system of two major industries, information communication technology and finance & banking. The company has been competitively providing and maintaining Electronic Draft Capture (EDC) terminals using state-of-the-art technology to financial institutions. The potential of PAYSYS to strive in the industry was realized as soon as six-months since its inception of software development, testing and certification for EDC. As the pilot phase of installation concluded, PAYSYS was already making inroads to major banks in the credit card acquiring business. In recent times, the company was instrumental in supporting banks in their migration of magnetic striped cards to EMV chip-based card acceptance throughout the country. And there is more, PAYSYS is also actively involved in the MEPS Cash E-Purse implementation nationwide. All in all, the company has also implemented a GPRS Wireless terminal solution for EMV and Smart Card loyalty programmes.
