Edible bird’s nest farming is a very lucrative business in South East Asia. And currently, Golden Swift Resources Sdn Bhd (GSR) is considered one of the major player in the swiftlet cultivation market. Having managed more than 500 swiftlet houses, developed and managed swiftlet eco-parks in Malaysia and completed various consultations, renovations and services of swiftlet houses, GSR is widely regarded as a one-stop centre concerning swiftlet cultivation.

GSR is one of the few companies in Malaysia to have taken this innovative approach to integrate the different elements and needs of the swiftlet nest cultivation industry. This can be seen in the fact that they have been appointed as Chief Designer and Consultant for the Seri Manjung Eco-Park and the Kemaman Swiflet Eco-Park in year 2008.

GSR has diversified its interests which now include the trading of swiftlet nest harvests, the processing of nest harvests and eventual sales of the processed swiftlet nests to consumers, as well as acting as an intermediary for stand-alone swiftlet farmers who wish to sell off their existing swiftlet houses and eco-parks. In other words, the company offers an A to Z business model for swiftlet nests.

GSR has always emphasized quality, and it was with this in mind back in 2006 that the founders got together and decided to venture into the then, little-known industry of swiftlet cultivation.

Currently, GSR is focussing on its main core business which is the development and subsequent sale of Swiftlet properties. By working closely with local government authorities and agencies and by ensuring that these properties conform to the legal regulatory framework and comply with established guidelines, GSR is therefore able to develop and manage licensed swiflet houses in Malaysia.
